Rectangular duct fans with EC engines

Rectangular duct fans with EC (electronically commutated) engines are modern and efficient ventilation devices.

EC technology stands for Electronically Commutated and combines AC and DC voltages, which is essentially a fan with a brushless DC motor, combining the best of both technologies. The EC engine operates on DC voltage, but with a single-phase 230 V AC power supply (115 V option).

Rectangular duct fans are used in air conditioning, ventilation and air heating systems for industrial, commercial and residential buildings, as well as for other sanitary needs. They are designed to move air and other gas-vapor-air mixtures that do not contain explosives, abrasive dust, sticky and fibrous materials.

The amount of dust and other solid impurities in the transported media does not exceed 0.1 g/m3.

The main components of the fan structure are defined as follows: casing, impeller, collector, and electric motor.

The duct fan housing is made of galvanized steel and is a one-piece unit.

The principle of operation of the fan is to move the working medium using the energy of the impeller rotation. During the rotation of the impeller, the air that has passed through the collector penetrates the channels between its blades, moves to the periphery of the impeller under the influence of centrifugal force and is directed to the outlet.

Main features of these fans include:

  1. Electronically commutated (EC) engines: these use special electronic control systems to optimize motor performance. This allows for high efficiency, precise speed control and reduced energy consumption compared to traditional AC (alternating current) motors.
  2. Compact size and easy installation: rectangular duct fans with EC engines can be compact and lightweight, making them easy to install in ventilation systems.
  3. Quiet operation: EC engines typically operate with little noise, which is important for residential or commercial applications.
  4. Automation and integration: these fans can be easily integrated into building automation and control systems, interacting with other ventilation system components for optimal indoor climate control.
  5. Durability: thanks to electronic control, EC engines can provide stable operation and a long service life.

It is important to consider specific technical parameters when choosing fans for specific needs.
