Duct filters type D-KKF are appointed to effectively remove solid and fibrous particles from the supply, recirculation or exhaust air. Their installation guarantees the protection of the room to be serviced, as well as all components of the ventilation system from mechanical impurities contained in the treated air. Failure to use the system without a filter can lead to failure of the fan bearings and heaters (water, electric).
The filter construction includes a housing and filter cassettes with filter material of the appropriate cleaning class. This is necessary to effectively prevent contamination of the air environment in ventilated rooms and to protect ventilation equipment elements such as fans, air coolers and air heaters.
It is important to note that the duct filter can be installed regardless of spatial orientation. When installed vertically, the air flow through the filter should be directed from top to bottom.
The use of a duct filter is not recommended in such cases:
- in systems used to transfer gas or vapor-air explosive mixtures from technological installations where explosive substances are heated above their flash point or are under excessive pressure;
- in systems where aggressive media interacting with zinc-coated carbon steels are transported, if the aggressiveness exceeds that of air, or if they contain sticky or fibrous materials;
- in systems that are not regularly cleaned according to the established schedule to prevent the formation of combustible deposits.
The temperature range of the transported air should be between -30°C and +70°C.
