Air dampers for ventilation are an auxiliary accessory that significantly improves the functioning of the air conductor system, contributing to comfortable indoor conditions. The ventilation damper can be used in domestic premises, as well as in the premises of small and large industries.
Air dampers are designed to regulate the flow of air and non-explosive gas mixtures passing through the duct, or to block the ventilation duct.
Construction
As standard, the damper housing and flanges are made of galvanized steel sheet. The slide plates are made of aluminum profiles. The slide plates are rotated by means of a gear transmission. The tightness of the damper is achieved by means of a rubber seal, which is installed on each rotary plate. The cross-section of the drive leakage is a square with a side of 10 mm.
The aggressiveness of air mixtures compared to carbon steels usually does not exceed the aggressiveness of air at temperatures up to 80 °C. They do not contain fibrous materials, with the content of dust and other solid impurities not exceeding 100 mg/m3. They are used in ventilation, air conditioning, air heating, and other sanitary systems with a working pressure of up to 1,500 Pa (150 kgf/m2).
