Throttle valves

A throttle valve is a device used to regulate the volume of air or other gas flow in ventilation systems and other technical systems. This valve can be used to change the level of flow of a working medium in a duct, sewer, pipeline, or other system.

The construction of the throttle valve:

  1. Housing:
    • Usually made of metal or other materials.
    • It can be rectangular, round, or other shapes depending on the application.
  2. Regulating element:
    • This is the part that regulates the flow of air or gas.
    • It can be a paddle, disc, or other type.
  3. Actuator:
    • Used to control the regulating element.
    • It can be mechanical (manual) or automatic (electric, pneumatic).
